THE REPORT ON THE MUTAGENICITY AND ANTIMUTAGENICITY SYNCHRONOUS TEST OF A LOT OF EDIBLE CHINESE HERB

Abstract: Purpose and Methods : In order to screening the antimutagen , the study investigated the mutagenicity and antimutagenicity of 22 kinds of edible chinese herb(Honey , Royal jelly , Bee collecting pollen , Lily , Kely ,Willow bud , the seed of Job’s tear , the Pob of chinese scholort ree , Olired longan , Taro , Sterulaia scaphi , Asiatic plantain , White chrysanthemum , Chinese yam , Coriander , Elm leaf , Pumpkin seeds , Pumpkin pulp , pulp of wagourd , Skin of wagourd Fingered cit ron , Water chestunt by the antimutagenicity and mutagenicity synchronous test . Results and Conclusion : The result s both with and without S9 (rat liver microsomal enzymes) showed that all the samples had no mutagenicity. Honey , Royal jelly , Bee Collecting Pollen , Willow Bud , the pob of chinese scholort ree , Olired longan , White chrysantemum , Chinese yam , Water chestunt were antimutagen against MMC.
